Marcie Johnson concentrates in Elder Law, Medicaid and VA Pension. She also handles probate, trust administration and guardianship and works closely with clients to implement estate plans. Marcie graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Marcie is a VA accredited attorney by the Department of Veterans Affairs and was named one of D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016 and 2018.

Marcie is a published author, writing several books on Medicaid planning and Veterans Pension Planning. She presents regularly to community groups across North Texas and was a guest presenter at the AICPA & CIMA national elder planning conference in 2019 addressing how to pay for long-term care utilizing Medicaid and VA Pension.

Marcie currently serves on the Board of Directors for Network of Community Ministries in Richardson, Texas which is a non-profit organization which seeks to care, coach, and empower neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life. She is an active member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Board of Directors for the Leadership Richardson Alumni Association from 2018-2020. In 2016, she was selected for Leadership Richardson Class XXXII. Marcie actively participates with the Dallas Women Lawyers Association and serves as a Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation. She serves regularly as an Attorney/Guardian ad Litem for Collin County.

In her spare time, Marcie enjoys music, camping, hiking, water skiing, and interior decorating.
