Marcie Johnson concentrates in Elder Law, Medicaid and VA Pension. She also handles probate, trust administration and guardianship and works closely with clients to implement estate plans. Marcie graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with honors and majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish. Marcie is a VA accredited attorney by the Department of Veteran Affairs and was named one of D Magazine's Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016.

Marcie is a published author, writing several books on Medicaid planning and co-authoring a book with her law partner and father, Richard P. Johnson on Veterans Pension Planning.

She is an active member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and in 2016 was selected for Leadership Richardson Class XXXII. Marcie actively participates with the Dallas Women Lawyers Association and serves as a Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation. She serves regularly as an Attorney/Guardian ad Litem for Collin County.

Marcie's involvement with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers was substantive. She was selected as Committee Co-Chair of both the Aid to the Homeless Committee and the Social Committee. She participated in the 2006-2007 DAYL Leadership Class which organized a massive community project to beautify Dallas lSD schools. She also mentored Dallas lSD high school students with ambitions of entering the legal field.

Marcie served as attorney advisor for her undergraduate sorority, Sigma Phi Lambda. In addition, she has received state certification in mediation and alternate dispute resolution.

In her spare time, Marcie enjoys music, camping, hiking, water skiing, and interior decorating.
